A third generation Native Arizonian, Perry spent his early DJ days spinning at a dozen of small clubs, sports bars, and odd ball gigs. It wasnt until 1998 when he became a regular at Club Rio spinning 2-3 nights a week for over a year where DJ Perry met Pistol Pete while he was hosting Alternative Night for The Edge. When Pete ended up on Energy in 2002, he helped Perry get some recognition by debuting him on the station for the first Spin Cycle live mix show.
With radio being his first love, Perry grew up listening to Hot Mix (Y95 / KZZP), Powertools (Eddie Amador), and Planet Edge / Edge Factor (Markus Schulz). Being able to spin multi-formats, Perry has been influenced by all the mentioned mix shows and then some. These programs are now in the past but Perry keeps these records alive on Energy's "Factory Mix".
As a former employee of lengendary "Plastik Records" (owned by Schulz), Perry had the opportunity to guest DJ on the Edge Factor back in 1999. He also helped out with some shows for Hot Mix (a syndicated mixshow) that aired locally on The Zone in 2000 and nationally on stations throughout the country. For over a year now, Perry throws down during Mega's Lunch Hour: The
Old School Workout; Listen Live M-F @ 12p-1p. Perry can also be heard
on Mega's Saturday Night House Party between 9p and 1a. Don't forget
about sister station (Energy 92.7 / 101.1), where Perry lets loose on
the Friday Night Club Mix (8p-10p). This live mix features a variety
of Progressive House, Elektro, and Global Club Anthems. On Energy
Sunday Nights, Perry can also be heard on "The Sunday Rewind Mix" at
7p, followed by "The Factory" at 8p which features Classic Dance music
from 1980-2000. With that much material to cover, you never know what
you might hear! Now at a new time, check out Perry's Flashback mixes
from 7p - 9p on Sundays.
